Balsamic Glazed Salmon Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets, skin-on or skinless
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Salmon: In a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag, combine the balsamic vinegar, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, and olive oil. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Add the salmon fillets to the marinade, turning to coat them evenly. Cover or seal the dish/bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours, to allow the flavors to meld.
  2. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  3. Bake the Salmon: Remove the marinated salmon fillets from the refrigerator and transfer them to the prepared baking sheet, reserving the marinade. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. If desired, you can baste the salmon with the reserved marinade halfway through cooking for extra flavor.
  4. Glaze the Salmon: While the salmon is baking, transfer the reserved marinade to a small saucepan. Bring the marinade to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly into a glaze.
  5. Serve: Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the oven and brush it generously with the balsamic glaze. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot, with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing.
