Description:
Mini Quiches are a delicious and versatile appetizer that can be tailored to suit any taste. With a buttery, flaky crust and a creamy filling, these little quiches are perfect for using up leftover vegetables, meats, or cheeses. The base is made from whisked eggs, cream, and a blend of seasonings, creating a luscious texture that pairs perfectly with a variety of ingredients like sautéed spinach, diced ham, or shredded cheese. Each quiche is baked until golden and fluffy, making them an attractive and flavorful addition to any buffet or appetizer spread. Whether served warm or at room temperature, these mini quiches will be a hit with everyone!
Ingredients:
- 1 pre-made pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or your choice)
- 1 cup diced vegetables (bell peppers, onions, spinach, mushrooms)
- 1/2 cup diced cooked meat (ham, bacon, or sausage)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven: Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Prepare the crust: Roll out the pie crust on a lightly floured surface. Use a round cutter to cut out small circles that fit into a muffin tin. Gently press the circles into the muffin tin to form small cups.
- Prepare the filling: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and heavy cream until well combined. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in the shredded cheese, diced vegetables, and cooked meat.
- Fill the crusts: Pour the egg mixture into each pastry cup, filling them about three-quarters full.
- Bake: Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the egg is set and the tops are lightly golden.
- Cool and serve: Remove the mini quiches from the oven and let them cool in the tin for about 5 minutes. Carefully remove them from the muffin tin and transfer to a serving platter.
- Garnish: Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve warm or at room temperature.
