Ingredients

For the Sliders

  • 12 slider buns (dinner rolls)
  • 1 lb sliced turkey or ham
  • 12 slices Swiss or cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

For Garnish (optional)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Pickles or sliced jalapeños

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and honey (if using) until well combined. Set aside.
  3. Assemble the sliders: Slice the slider buns in half, keeping the tops and bottoms connected. Place the bottom halves in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Layer the sliced turkey or ham on the bottom halves, followed by the cheese slices. Drizzle the prepared sauce over the meat and cheese, then place the top halves of the buns on top.
  4. Prepare the topping: In a small bowl, combine melted butter, poppy seeds, and garlic powder. Brush the mixture generously over the tops of the buns.
  5. Bake: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the sliders are heated through and the tops are golden brown.
  6. Serve: Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve warm with pickles or sliced jalapeños on the side.
