1. Keep a Routine
Take 10 minutes every day to do something you enjoy—take a bubble bath, read a book, spend time with your dog or cuddle up with your kids.
Make sure it’s about you and no one else in your family. This is as important as taking care of everyone else!
2. Exercise
Exercise releases endorphins reduce stress and boost self-esteem. Choose activities that are relaxing but also physically stimulating like yoga, tai chi, or ballroom dancing; these will increase blood flow while reducing tension throughout your body.
3. Eat Well
Don’t skip meals and go on crash diets. Try eating smaller portions more frequently (every three hours) so you don’t get too hungry and emotional when dining out with friends or at dinner parties.
Don’t be tempted by high-calorie drinks either – choose water over alcohol, soft drinks, and fruit juice cocktails to keep hydrated during stressful times.
4. Get Enough Sleep
A good night’s sleep can help reduce stress levels and make us more productive during our waking hours
5. Laugh Often
Stressful situations are not funny and they don’t have to be laughed off. But laughter itself provides physiological benefits such as increasing oxygen intake which promotes relaxation and reduces muscle tension
Treat yourself right Spend an hour each week doing something nice for yourself whether it’s going shopping, getting a massage, or enjoying an aromatherapy treatment
6. Practice Positive Affirmations
Affirmations can positively affect our mood since they focus on what we want rather than what we fear.
