Experience the exquisite flavors of Japan with this Teriyaki Salmon Recipe! Succulent salmon fillets marinated in a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce, then grilled to perfection. This dish is not only delicious but also quick and easy to prepare, making it perfect for busy weeknights or weekend dinners.
Ingredients:
- 4 salmon fillets
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons mirin (Japanese sweet rice wine)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- Sesame seeds and sliced green onions, for garnish
- Cooked rice or steamed vegetables, for serving
Instructions:
- Prepare the marinade: In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, honey, minced garlic, and minced ginger until well combined.
- Marinate the salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag. Pour the teriyaki marinade over the salmon, ensuring that each fillet is evenly coated. Cover or seal the dish/bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
- Preheat the grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent the salmon from sticking.
- Grill the salmon: Remove the salmon fillets from the marinade, allowing any excess marinade to drip off. Place the fillets on the preheated grill, skin-side down if applicable. Grill for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Garnish and serve: Once grilled, transfer the teriyaki salmon to a serving platter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish. Serve hot alongside cooked rice or steamed vegetables.
Enjoy your Teriyaki Salmon, a delicious and satisfying dish that’s sure to impress!
