Savor the simplicity of Classic Tuna Salad! This timeless dish combines flaky tuna, crunchy celery, zesty onions, and creamy mayo for a satisfyingly delicious salad that’s perfect for sandwiches, salads, or as a dip with crackers.

Ingredients:

– 2 cans (5 ounces each) of tuna, drained

– 1/4 cup mayonnaise

– 2 tablespoons diced celery

– 2 tablespoons diced red onion

– 2 tablespoons diced pickles

– 1 tablespoon lemon juice

– 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

– Salt and pepper, to taste

– Optional additions: chopped parsley, chopped dill, chopped chives, diced bell pepper

 Instructions:

1. Prepare the tuna: Drain the canned tuna and transfer it to a mixing bowl.

2. Mix the salad: Add mayonnaise, diced celery, diced red onion, diced pickles, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper to the bowl with the tuna.

3. Combine ingredients: Gently mix all the ingredients together until everything is evenly distributed and the tuna is coated in the dressing.

4. Adjust seasoning: Taste the tuna salad and adjust the seasoning according to your preferences. You can add more salt, pepper, or lemon juice if needed.

5. Chill (optional): If time allows, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the tuna salad for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

6. Serve: Once chilled (if desired), serve the tuna salad on a bed of lettuce, between slices of bread for a sandwich, or with crackers.

7. Optional toppings: Sprinkle chopped parsley, dill, chives, or diced bell pepper on top for added flavor and color.

8. Enjoy: Enjoy your classic tuna salad as a light and tasty meal or snack!
