Savory Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Cook the pasta: Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. Sauté the shrimp: In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp: Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and black pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until pink and opaque.
  4. Create the sauce: Stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, lemon juice, and chopped parsley. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until the butter is melted and the sauce is heated through. If the sauce is too thick, add some of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
  5. Combine with pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until well coated in the garlic butter sauce.
  6. Serve: Divide the garlic butter shrimp pasta among serving plates. Garnish with additional chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired. Serve hot and enjoy your savory and satisfying meal!

Treat yourself to the luxurious flavors of garlic butter shrimp combined with perfectly cooked pasta for a truly delightful dining experience.
