  • 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz (225g) mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)


  1. Prepare the Beef: Season the thinly sliced beef with salt and black pepper to taste. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned beef to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned on all sides. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Cook the Vegetables: In the same skillet, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and dried thyme, tossing to coat the beef and mushrooms evenly. Allow the mixture to simmer for 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly.
